The Pilgrim Virgin Statue
(currently at St. Sebastian Parish only)
The purpose of the Pilgrim Virgin Statue visit is to bring the graces of Fatima and Our Lady’s message of hope, peace, and salvation to those who may never have an opportunity to make a pilgrimage to Fatima itself.

The Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is brought to your home by a member of Our Mother’s Hands ministry.

The statue will stay in your home for two weeks (Saturday to Saturday).

Two-three days prior to the statue’s arrival, a ministry member will contact you regarding the arrival time of the statue and obtain your address.

You are asked to set up a little home shrine where the Statue will be placed. A table covering (a cloth doily is provided), candles (or vigil lights), flowers, and other desired sacramentals can be in place.

Upon the arrival of the Statue, all those present will gather at the shrine where the statue is placed and recite a few short prayers.

During the Statue’s visit, you are encouraged to invite family, friends, and neighbors to join you in prayer.

During this time, you are encouraged to recite the Rosary each day and offer prayer intentions, petitions, and gratitude to Mary.

Two-three days prior to the statue’s departure, a ministry member will call to arrange a time to pick up the statue.

At the time of the statue’s departure, the ministry member will join you in a brief farewell prayer service.

This program is offered by your parish to their families as a method of encouraging prayer for religious and priestly vocations in the households of our parish.
A family is given the free standing crucifix and prayer booklet to host in their home for the next two weeks. Participating family names will be printed in the bulletin the week prior to the exchange.
Our Mother’s Hands ministry is honored to administer this program, prayerfully placing it under the patronage of our Blessed Mother, Queen of Vocations. Our ministry's members volunteer to facilitate in-person signups as well as providing an online scheduling portal to each parish.
